Listen to your body, find out what it NEEDS. Your physical health is more than just what you look like on the outside. You may look good but how do you feel on the inside? Do you live pain free? What’s your warm-up look like? Do you mobilize? Think about adding 5-10 minutes onto your workout to focus on prepping your body and mind for your workout!

My Women's Training classes are becoming more and more popular! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The classes run every Sunday for 6 weeks from 2-3pm @implexusgym, Leeds. The next programme runs from 2nd June to 7th July - prices from just £42 for the WHOLE thing!

Here's a little more info on what to expect...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A typical session will start with a warm up then we will focus on technique of the weeks main exercise (think squat, deadlift, hip thrust etc). After this, in small groups, you'll have a go at adding some weight and perform the exercise usually along with some accessory exercises. This section takes one half of the session.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The second half usually takes place in the outdoor area of the gym where you'll perform a "HIIT" type circuit - things such as tyre flips, prowler (everyone's favourite!), battle ropes, ball slams, squats and so on. After this we usually have a "huddle" to check the weeks progress, ask questions, receive your homework 😉 and I try to teach you something also - I try to cover topics about calories, food groups, why we should aim to eat a high protein diet etc. Each session is different so you'll never get bored! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My aim for launching Women's Training (which has been running for over a year now!) was to allow women time in a gym environment to build confidence and learn how to lift weights properly without the fear of being watched by others. Each programme welcomes new women (and my regulars come back for more) - everyone is so, so lovely!

📢❗️REVERSE DIETING ❗️📢 WHAT IS IT? Simply put, it is when you gradually increasing calories over a period of time after dieting. It gives your body and mind a break from constant dieting, brings your metabolic rate back to a more ‘ideal’ level, it reregulates your hormones and can help improve performance in training. WHY WE DO IT? If you’ve spent a long time in a calorie deficit your body will do everything it can to adapts to lower calories and save energy making it much harder to make progress! HOW TO DO IT? It’s difficult to generalise for everyone but I would recommend adding 50-100 calories every few weeks to your diet & track your weight/measurements to see how your body reacts 👀**DISCLAIMER: It needs to be said though that quite often people will say ‘I think I’m eating too little and my body has gone into starvation mode’ when actually they’re underreporting calories massively and not in a calorie deficit at all 🤷🏼‍♀️ Make sure you’re being totally honest with yourself as this will only work in your favour if you are accurately tracking, being totally consistent and committed to making a real change! 🙌🏼
I’m 5 months into my reverse diet, currently eating over 1000 calories more EVERYDAY and my weight is 3kg LOWER than when I started in January. If you’re committed and prepared to look at longer-term goals I would highly recommend doing your research, focusing more on health instead of weight and invest in a coach! #reversedieting #increasingcalories #5monthprogress #tuesdaytransformation #transformationtuesday

Deadlift and bench triples also felt decent. Although the last set of deadlifts felt slower than usual as I was focusing more on bringing my shoulders back as I’ve become a little lazy with regards to pulling them back because the weight feels easy 😳😳🙄🙄🙄

Everyone always does transformation Tues pics, and I've never been able to post one pic. Why you ask? Well here's a little more about me fitfam. BTW my daughter found the only fat pic of me in existence on an old computer. (That nosey kid 😂) If you look closely I had quite a bit of cushion everywhere, and I even had huge boobs lol. Where'd they go? 🤷 And that six pack I have now used to be fat rolls. SWIPEE FOR THE ONLY FAT PIC IN EXISTENCE ⬅️⬅️ I wouldn't allow anyone to take any pics or videos of me ever, not even on holidays, that's how much I loathed myself when I was heavier. After I had my daughter I suffered from severe postpartum depression. It was so bad that I had to take medication, which also contributed to weight gain on a body that still needed to lose weight after having a baby. Now when you see this pic you might think she doesn't even look that big, but to someone that was literally skinny as a rail all her life, had a metabolism through the roof, and suffered with body dysmorphia and eating issues since junior high school, it was just devastating. Add depression to it, and you have one deadly cocktail. So I finally decided to stop feeling sorry for myself, dig myself out of the trenches, changed my diet, started running with a dual stroller, got myself into running races, doing crossfit, bodybuilding, OCR races, and really any form of fitness imaginable. I'm in the best shape of my life, and I'm never turning back! Anything is possible fitfam with the right mindset. 💯💪💪🏋🏼😊💕 .
